Discovering the tastes of tradition
In our restaurant guests can discover the gastronomic traditions of Reggio Emilia and taste the renowned Balsamico del Cavazzone, the balsamic vinegar used in many of our recipes. The main room used to be a stable and features cast iron pillars supporting a vaulted roof.
In the summer months, meals can also be served in the adjoining terrace, enjoying the breathtaking view of the plains below.
The tastes of tradition
Cavazzone offers typical dishes of Reggio Emilia cuisine, accompanied by products from the agricultural company, which vary according to the seasons. The menu always includes cured meats, parmigiano reggiano, balsamic vinegar, tortelli, tagliatelle, erbazzone and Lambrusco wine. Our bread and pasta are made with the flour obtained from the organic wheat we grow here.
The main room of the restaurant was once a stable and is furnished in a simple yet elegant fashion. The outer portico is perfect for lunch or dinner in spring and autumn, while during the summer the true protagonist is the terrace, with its views of the Po Plain and the Alps. The Saletta dei Cacciatore (the Hunter’s Room, for no more than 6 to 8 people) is perfect for intimate dinners or romantic evenings. It is named after the hunting trophies on its walls, and it has a delightful fireplace for the winter months.
Location for unforgettable events
Cavazzone is the perfect venue for weddings (whether religious or not), birthdays, ceremonies, company meetings and events of all types.
